Auló Teatro - English version
We are an indipendent theatre group in Pauda, Italy.
We produce street performances, site-specific performances and in-door performances.
We think that each performance has to relate with the space and the audience.
Our productions have been performed at both local and national festivals.
'Edipo racconta' was presented at the 'Linea trasversale' festival; a festival organised by 'Proskenion' and supported by ISTA (the International School of Theatre Anthropology) and by the University of Eurasian Theatre.
‘Diario di bordo’ was performed at the 'Trickster Theatre' in Switzerland and at the 'Teatro La Madrugada' in Milan, Italy.
The performances '... e l'oceano in mezzo' and 'Prospero's island' were awarded the second prize at the 'Piccoli Palcoscenici' competition.
The production '... e l'oceano in mezzo' was also selected for performance at the 'Festival delle Arti' (Bologna) and at the 'ParaVenti Teatrali' festival (Montecchio Maggiore, Vicenza).
The performances 'La città del foco' and 'Charivari' were hosted at the Teatrotraipiedi Festival (Province of Vicenza).
The performance 'Charivari' was presented at the TrenOff Festival in Bologna in 2012.
The performance 'Il filo di Arianna' was hosted in Pescara in 2013 by Magfest Italia , the Italian network of women theatre artists connected to the International Magdalena Project.
At the moment we are working on new productions.
So the repertoire is going to be transformed soon.

Charivari is a performance based on the duality of life and death.
It is based on the tradition of the dance macabre and Hellequin myth. Hellequin is the chief dead soldier who leads the dead army which visits earth once a year and creates chaos and disruption.
It is this moment of upheaval which creates the conditions for life to start again.
Death is the big taboo in our contemporary society, however in speaking about death one can realize how vital it is to live life to the full.
Indoor performance on nine rebelling women
Arianna's thread is a performance which reflects on the condition of women in contemporary society. In particular the lives of nine important women are portrayed in order to present women's rights and the struggle for equality and respect.
The performance is dedicated to Erica Ferazza, a young woman, mother, actress with Auló Teatro, stabbed to death by her ex-partner in 2012.
site-specific performance
Padua is a walled town.
The performance is based on historical documents on how the walls were conceived and changed in the Renaissance times.
The past is nevertheless a prompt to reflect how citizens live in towns, how the structure of a place changes the perception and the life of its inhabitants.
The performance is site-specific and spectators move from one place to another inside one of the most astonishing war towers in Padua.
